When you are joined to God's will
you will not wish that a sin had never occurred.
Yes, it was against God,
but through sin you are committed to greater love.
The humility we find in the sin
raises us in the love of God.
God put the sin in your way
only to bring out the best for you,
So when you come to your senses
and abandon it and rise above,
the ever faithful God sees you
as if you never sinned at all.
Not for an instant does God allow
those former sins to weigh against you.
It matters not the number of sins or their magnitude.
It could be all the sins in the world,
still God would not count them against you,
and God would have as much trust in you
as in any other creature.
When God finds you ready,
no attention is paid to what you were.
God is God of the present:
as God finds you now, so God accepts you,
not for what you have been but for who you are.
God will gladly suffer all the evil, sin, violence you can do
now and for years to come,
awaiting only the chance to convince you of God's love,
to earn your affection and gratitude,
and make your struggle more heartfelt.
As such opportunity often arises after sin.
